Do you want to see the Forum, the Antiqvarivm of Boscoreale, Oplonties (Torre Annunziata) and Stabiae (Castellamare die Stabia), archaeological park of Longola, castle of Lettere, Quisisana, Villa Sora, Bodies (casted with plaster) - Don’t think that the closing time is the last time you can buy a ticket.
They close 1,5 h earlier. Opening time is 09:00 – 19:30, Entrance ca 15 €

- Don’t forget good shoes – you’ll walk a lot over cobbled roads – historical from 24 August 79 (no, NOT 2079!). Don’t expect it to be an easy visit.
- Don’t forget sun protection. There’s not much shadow within. Don’t forget to bring enough water.
- no smoking!
- Eating / drinking only at marked Picknick areas
- Don’t get run over by tourist groups. Seems that they only follow their guides and not see anybody around.
- Don’t bring anything from there, no rocks, nothing. Leave nothing but your footprints 😉
- Don’t expect a lot of food options (prices go along with it, esp. outside).

As I wrote, I contacted the Pompei Reservation hotline. They offer us a guide for 13 € pax, 190 € paying cash, private tour of 2 h (not including Entrance fee of 16 € pax).
(There are two villas inOplontis, Boscoreale: 7 € / day, both togegher 18 € for 3 days – but we have very limited time).
According to Trip Advisor, somebody wrote (in 2017), better park down at the restaurant for 3 € in the shadow then up the small mountain to the entrance. But better not eat there 😉
